Head and Neck, Thyroid, Parathyroid and General ENT Surgeon.

Dr Agar is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He has undertaken additional post fellowship training in thyroid, parathyroid and advanced head & neck cancer surgery. His consulting suite opened in 2014 and is situated in the St John of God Specialist Centre at 83 Myers St Geelong.

Appointments and referrals

Appointments can be made by contacting his secretary Renee **PLEASE NOTE – Due to a very high number of referrals and only finite time/resources Nick is unable to see all patients referred to him. Some referrals may be declined with an explanatory letter sent back to your GP or advice given regarding an alternative or more appropriate pathway to seek help.

Nick triages all new referrals according to their clinical urgency. We are receiving a very high volume of referrals to this single clinician practice, unfortunately this means than many conditions which are not an immediate threat you your health or wellbeing will need to wait many months for an appointment date.

Common conditions which are categorised as non-urgent include nasal blockage, sinusitis, tonsilitis, chronic cough, hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo amongst others.  If you are unsatisfied with the timeframe to your appointment you may re-discuss your issue with your GP or consider contacting an alternative ENT surgeon in Geelong or Melbourne.
